Hadith

* Allah's Messenger said, "Islam is based on five principles -

1. To testify "La ilaha ilalla muhammadur rasool allah" (None has the right to be worshipped except Allah and Muhammad is his messenger).

2. To perform Hajj (i.e pilgrimage to Makkah)

3. Iqaamat-as-Salat : To peform five compulsary prayers

4. To pay Zakaat

5. To observe saum (fast) during the month of Ramadhan

* Narrated 'Abdullah R.A.A : "I asked the prophet S.A.S "What is the greatest sin in consideration with Allah ?" He said, " That you set up a rival upto Allah though he alone created you."

* Narrated Abu Hurairah R.A.A : Allah's messenger S.A.S said, "Al - Miskin (the poor) is not the one who goes round the people and ask them for a mouthful or two of meals,but Al - Miskin is that whose condition is not known to others,that others may give him something in charity and who does not beg of people."

* Narrated Abu Hurairah R.A.A : The prophet S.A.S said, "Allah says,I am just as My slaves think I am and I am with him if he remembers me.If he remembers me in himself,I too will remember him in Myself.If he remembers me in group.I will remember him in a group better than them and if he comes to me walking,I go to him running."

* Narrated Abu Hurairah R.A.A : Allah's messenger S.A.S said, " As- Siyam (fasting) is Junnah (protection) or shield or screen or shelter from the hell-fire."

* Narrated 'Abdullah Bin Mas'ud R.A.A. : I asked Allah's Messenger S.A.S, "O Allah's Messenger ! What is the best deed" ? He replied ; To offer the salat at early fixed times'. I asked 'What is the next in goodness'? He replied, ' To be good and dutiful to your parents' . I further asked, ' What is next in goodness?' He replied ' To participate in Jihaad in Allah's cause."

* Narrated Aishah R.A.A : The prophet S.A.S said, " The most hated person to Allah is the one who is the most quarrelsome of the Opponents."

* Narrated Abu Ummah R.A.A : Allah's Messenger S.A.S said, "(a) I guarantee a home in paradise for a person who give up argument even if he is truthful, (b) And a home in the middle of the paradise for a person who gives up lying even while joking, (c) And a home in the highest part of the paradise for a person who has a high standard of character"

* Narrated Abu Hurayrah R.A.A : The prophet S.A.S said, " Seven people will be shaded by Allah on the Day of Resurrection, They are -

A Just ruler
A young Man who is brought up in worship of Allah
A Man whose heart is attached to the Mosque
Two persons who love each other only for the sake of Allah and they meet and part in Allah's cause
A Man who fears Allah
A person who performs charity so secretly that his lefthand does not know what his right hand has given
A person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes become flooded with tears."

* Narrated Abu Hurayrah R.A.A : Allah's Messenger S.A.S said, " The strong is not the one who overcomes the people by his strength, but the strong is the one who controls himself while he is angry."

* Narrated Abu Hurayrah R.A.A: Allah's Messenger S.A.S said, " Anyone whom Allah has given wealth but he does not pay his Zakat, then on the Day of Resurrection his wealth will be presented to him in the shape of a bald headed poisonous snake (male) with two poisonous glands in his mouth and it will encircle itself around his nck and bite his cheeks and say, " I am your wealth,I am your treasure."

* Narrated Al-Mughirah bin Shubah R.A.A : The prophet S.A.S said, "Allah has forbidden for you

To be undutiful to your Mothers
To bury your daughters alive
Not to pay the rights of others (eg Zakat, charity) and
To beg of men (i.e begging)

And Allah has hated for you

Sinful and useless talk like backbitting or that you talk too much of others
To ask too many questions (in Religious Matters)
To waste wealth (by lack of wisdom)

* Narrated Anas R.A.A: The prophet S.A.S was asked about great sins,He said, " They are

To join others in worship with Allah
To be Undutiful to one's parents
To kill a person (which Allah has forbidden)
And to give false witness

* Narrated Abdullah bin Amr R.A.A: The prophet S.A.S said, " Whoever has the following four characteristics will be a pure hypocrite

Whenever he is trusted, he betrays
Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie
Whenever he makes a convenant, he proves treacherous
Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent evil and insulting manner."

* Narrated Abu Hurayrah R.A.A: The prophet S.A.S said, " The worst people before Allah on the Day of Ressurection will be double faced people who appear to some people with one face and to other people with another face."

* Narrated Abu Hurayrah R.A.A: Allah's Messenger S.A.S said, " When Allah completed the creatiob He wrote in His book which is with Him on His throne 'Verily,My mercy has overcome My Anger."

* Narrated prophet S.A.S, " If anyone of you says Ameen(during the prayer at the end of the recitation of surah Fatiha) and the angels in the heaven say the same, and the two sayings coincide, all his past sins will be forgiven.
